Requirements

Students enrolling into this course must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Complete an Upfront Assessment of Need (UAN)
  • Complete a literacy, numeracy and digital literacy assessment
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa holder for funded positions
  • Have access to a computer or laptop with reliable internet access
  • Be able to participate in online virtual classroom sessions via Zoom
  • Possess sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete course requirements

Students are required to have completed the following prerequisite units:

  • CPCCBC4001 Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for Class 1 and 10 buildings
  • CPCCBC4053 Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for Class 2 to 9 Type C buildings
  • CPCCBC5001 Apply building codes and standards to the construction process for Type B construction

Additional eligibility requirements may apply for government funded positions.
